Lesson Two - By what authority do you speak?
We live in a day in which everyone likes to question authority. Why should I believe the Bible and submit my life to its teachings? This is a very good question that needs to be answered. The best answer comes from the Word of God itself.
I. The authority of Scripture is found in God Himself.
II. The authority of the Scripture is found in the earthly ministry of Christ.
III. The authority of the Scripture is seen in the longest chapter of the Bible.
IV. The authority of the Scripture is complete.
V. The authority of the Scripture is evident in salvation.
VI. The authority of Scripture is proven in our daily life.
** May each of us take seriously the authority of the Scripture. There is no way that any of us can grow as children of God unless we are willing to submit ourselves to the authority of the Word of God!
