Lesson Two - By what authority do you speak?

We live in a day in which everyone likes to question authority. Why should I believe the Bible and submit my life to its teachings? This is a very good question that needs to be answered. The best answer comes from the Word of God itself.

I. The authority of Scripture is found in God Himself.

    • II. The authority of the Scripture is found in the earthly ministry of Christ.

    • III. The authority of the Scripture is seen in the longest chapter of the Bible.

    • IV. The authority of the Scripture is complete.

  • 1 Corinthians 13:10

    • V. The authority of the Scripture is evident in salvation.

  • The Bible speaks for itself. Luke 16:29

    • VI. The authority of Scripture is proven in our daily life.

  • Acts 17:11
  • Psalm 119:105
  • Psalm 19:7

    • ** May each of us take seriously the authority of the Scripture. There is no way that any of us can grow as children of God unless we are willing to submit ourselves to the authority of the Word of God!
