Lesson Eight - Christian Stewardship
The Christian life is a life of stewardship. When you get saved you realize that everything you have comes from the hand of the Lord. There are no self-made men or women. (Romans 14:6-8) Paul made it very clear that the moment we trusted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, our life was not our own. (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20)
Everything belongs to the Lord. (Psalm 24:1)
Stewardship is seen in 1 Corinthians 4:1, 2
Stewardship involves three aspects of our lives: our time, our talents and our treasure.
I. The stewardship of time.
*Each of us is given the same amount of time each and every day. It is what we do with it that makes the difference.
II. The stewardship of treasure.
III. The stewardship of talent.
The use of our talents is the fruit of our salvation, not the root of salvation.
Matthew 25:31-46; James 2:14-16
Please understand that each one of us will stand before the Lord and give an account of our works. 2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:12; 1 Corinthians 3:12-15. May our life bring honor and glory to His name.
